About Jimmy Buchanan
My Experience
I have worked as an Electrician, Lighting Designer, and Actor for the last 4.5 years at ECU. During my time I have enjoyed collaborating with multiple departments to create unique and intriguing theatre designs.
My Education
I have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Design & Production for The Theatre Arts with a focus in Lighting from East Carolina University Greenville, NC. During my studies, I focused on electrician work and lighting design. I also took courses in stage management, costume design, scenic design, and acting to have a better understanding and respect for other departments.
My Skills
I am proficient in Photoshop, QLab, Vectorworks, and Lightwright . I am also skilled in soldering, LED wiring, and fixture repair. I also take pride in my attention to detail, problem solving abilities, and my comfortability with heights.
